So, this is the birdy quilt I made for my sister
It was so much fun to make although my first attempt at machine applique leaves a little lot to be desired
All the birdy fabrics were chosen by my sister from the stash , it was the first time I had worked with a real eclectic mix of colours & fabrics .
I was also having a small obsession with all things birdy.
I love the bright yellow inner border , I think it brings all the birds to life !!

Ooh I have that birdie applique pattern and have used it for a wall hanging. Nice to see it in a large quilt.

That sure is one great quilt. I love the setting you put the bird blocks in. Yep the border colours compliment the blocks wonderfully.
