Bloggers Quilt Festival

Here is my entry to the Bloggers Quilt Festival

A quilt made from all my favourite blues & greens

This quilt was finished earlier this year for my uncle , who is in his 80's

The original inspiration came from this quilt which has been in my flickr favs for some time

I have since discovered that it is a design by  Weeks Ringle & Bill Kerr in the book Modern Quilting

called Plain Spoken Quilt

I love the name , it perfectly describes this quilt

It was machine quilted by Leone Ward in a loopy design

& backed in a flannel from the Vintage Modern  collection by Bonnie & Camille

Bound in bright blue & brown

Thanks for visiting & get on over to see all the wonderful work by the quilters of the blogisphere

I love this quilt so much Lorraine. I think it's the color combo that does it for me. You always add just the right amount of that sour green. Your uncle is a lucky man!!! : )
