Today was quilt group , I am basting an Irish Chain quilt that seems to have been a WIP for far too long !!
Must finish it this week so I can start the projects swimming around in my head.
My Quilt Teacher has a huge table that is perfect to baste on & the helping hands to make the job less onerous.
Thank you Ruth !!
I have come to the conclusion that I make too many large quilts !!!

big red tote

Look here ..... a big red tote .
Made from the polka dot oilcloth purchased last week .
I need a sturdy bag to hold lunch & work related junk .
It has 3 pockets plus a key fob & is lined in the lovely fat MoMo spots.



The oilcloth is a little stiff to work with but my machine managed very well.
I read the hints on Sew Mama Sew


I am working my way through the blue Liberty star quilt blocks .
Liberty are celebrating their iconic fabrics with a Prints Charming exhibition
The Wellies are definitely on my wish list .
Look at the store all decked out in Betsy print , how cute is that !!

Sunday Stash # 11

Oh no .... I hear you groan
She's got more dots !!
Yes indeedy , I paid a visit to a quilt store yesterday & found the backing for my LCC quilt .
This gorgeous bright pink & orange dot from Kaffe Fassett .

I have been wanting to make a sturdy tote & love this red & white polka dot oilcloth by Moda .
The others are ... more Kaffe in orange & these cute fat dots from Wonderland by MoMo




That's my lot then .

real life

Seems real life has gotten in the way of blogging these last couple of weeks.
Sunshiny day here today .......delicious lunch of Yamba prawns & homegrown salad greens with a bottle of NZ white wine to wash it down .
To welcome home the youngest in the family from her travels in England, Italy & Germany.
The parks & squirrels were a highlight !!

Lots of cutting , pinning , chain piecing ,pressing & more cutting for my blue & white quilt going on here.




I need to make 45 star blocks & that's many flying geese .......whole flocks in fact !



Just have to clip the tails & I'm done & ready to start piecing the blocks
