it's a new year

Lots to show & tell
First up a few snippets from our travels to England

Sales everywhere but I was only really drawn to Liberty's of London where I picked up some half price remnants &

A Christmas gift of blues & grey from Adam !!

As exciting as the shopping is , it was the people that made our trip really fantastic .
Christmas Day with our son & daughter in a beautiful manor house ( see above ) & meeting fellow quilting bloggers Aneela & Katy with their families .
I do love this hexagon bag ...... ever so sweet fabric in every single patch . Thanks Katy x

Here is my latest project ........blocks laid out for approval . Its a version of Alison's red triangle quilt.

Now the house quiet & settled , the youngest daughter has returned to her job & life in Sydney so now I can head back to the sewing space & start the pile of quilts in my head .

Speaking of Phoebe , in my absence she moved into my sewing spot & has sewn a collection of bows ( from the scrap basket ) to sell at the Fringe Bar markets this Saturday .
So if you are around Paddo on Saturday pop in have yourself a cute little bow or 3.

happy stitching in 2010

it was wonderful to see you too - and thank you so much for the lovely gifts! (which are in constant use)

The snow here is ridiculous now, flights are cancelled all over, as are the trains. We had about 6 inches yesterday alone (which was lots of fun for the children, but not so much for the cats!)

I just got some rouenerries fabric to make a triangle quilt too - great minds, eh?!

I really enjoyed our little get together too!! Luckily you got away before our latest flurry of snow eh!
Glad to see you back and getting into the swing, though admit it you're missing the cold.....aren't you???!
