getting started

this quilt is requiring much perseverance

I feel as if I have been cutting & drawing away for weeks .... well 1 week

there are 30 rows of half square triangles to create the zig zags

I have done 7

the squaring up is taking an age

it's a good thing I am very fond of the design & intended recipient

the colours are beautifully vibrant in real life

I have made a template showing each row colour to guide me through , you can see it blue tacked to the wall

as a distraction I started on some hexagons .... which are too cute !!

happy sunday xx

Your hexy is very cute. I love zig zag quilts, though am yet to do one. Is this one for the ex-ID child?

Kate the zig zag is for an English friend ... P's quilt is still in the planning stages , it will be from Material Obsession 1.
I'm still collecting fabric for it.
