bloggers quilt festival


this quilt has come to be known as mr dotty


I finished it earlier this year  for a young friend who chose the design from the  Material Obsession
Book 



It was my first Dresden Plate quilt & the mammoth job of appliqueing took me forever .
I struggled to find an applique  method using my sewing machine but 
eventually it all came together with much persistence & help from Ruth ( my quilting teacher )
and the beautiful quilting by Leone Ward

I have little patience for hand sewing
:(


The recipient loved it so much she themed her wedding around the colours

My son and dil gave me material obsession for Crhsitmas last year. Have only made on quilt but love them all. Yours is just perfect. I want to do the dresden someday. Love you got it done. Thanks so much for sharing and have a great day
